Looking to bring a tropical twist to your holiday table or Sunday dinner? This Hawaiian Glazed Ham is the perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and warm spices — ideal for special occasions or whenever you want to serve something memorable. The glaze is infused with our guava-passion orange juice, brown sugar, and a hint of cloves and ginger, delivering bold island flavor in every bite.
🛒 Ingredients:
• ¾ cup Hawaii’s Own Guava Passion Orange Concentrate Juice (reconstituted)
• ½ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
• 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar for a softer tang)
• ½ teaspoon ground ginger
• ¼ teaspoon ground cloves (optional – adds a warm spice note)
• Pinch of salt
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (optional – for extra thickening)
🍴 Instructions:
1. Simmer the Glaze
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the juice, brown sugar, honey (or syrup), mustard, vinegar, ginger, cloves, and salt. Stir gently until the sugar fully dissolves.
2. Reduce to Perfection
Let the mixture simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it begins to thicken. If you prefer a thicker glaze, mix cornstarch and water separately, then add it to the glaze and simmer for another 1–2 minutes.
3. Glaze the Ham
Brush the glaze generously over your ham during the final 30–40 minutes of baking. For a deep, caramelized finish, reapply every 10–15 minutes.
4. Optional Bonus: Drizzle Extra Glaze
Warm any leftover glaze and drizzle over the sliced ham just before serving for an extra flavor boost.
🍍 Perfect Pairings:
To complete your tropical-inspired meal, pair your glazed ham with:
• Pineapple rings
• Coconut rice
• Roasted sweet potatoes
These sides complement the glaze beautifully and create a full island feast experience!
